DAD, WE NEED YOU!
Let us be the first to wish you a "Happy Father's Day!"
Everyone has a biological father, even if they're not raised by him. There are also many ways to address him such as, Father, Dad, Daddy, Papa, Pops...just to name a few.
There are so many dimensions! Let's take a look.
Definition#1: Not a gender but a position!
Heavenly Father: God's role as the life-giver, the authority and powerful protector!
Noun: 1. a man in relation to his child or children. 2. a priest
Verb: cause a pregnancy resulting in the birth of a child
Role: One of the pillars in the development of a child's emotional well-being. A "Rule" enforcer. To provide a feeling of security both physical and emotional.
What is the difference between a dad and father?
A dad gives guidance to his children or family on top of supplying them with the basic necessities in life. A father is someone who contributes to the physical creation of a child from who the sperm has been obtained to fertilize the mother's ovum!

The word "Father" is probably one of the most controversial words in the human language. It is not always honorable or as respected as one may think. "Why do I say that?" Its value is determined by the speaker.
The JTC X-Change realizes the many challenges that come along with "Fatherhood" and through the years have invested in resources to help to mentor, inspire and support this phenomenal role! In March of 2022, we met with a representative from the Attorney's General Office out of Austin, TX, where we were trained and informed about the responsibilities that are required in becoming a parent.

AOP Legal Document
Acknowledgement of Paternity is ...
a legal form created by the Texas Vital Statistics Unit (VSU) It can be signed by unmarried parents of any age who agree on their child's paternity.
This (AOP) can be signed any time before or after the birth of the child, usually completed at the hospital after the child is born.
HOWEVER, if you are not sure that the man named in this acknowledgement is the biological father of the child, you should NOT sign this document! (You may want to get a genetic test!)
Establishing parentage makes it easier for a child to receive benefits such as social security, military and veteran's benefits, health care coverage and life insurance, as well as inheritance!
🙄What was your experience being parented as a child? With your father? With your mother? How do you think your experience is similar to or different from your own experience as a parent?
JTC is constantly on the move spreading the conversations through letter writings to the Kings behind bars! These letters are not only encouraging to the Kings, but the Kings are also being an inspiration to JTC! Fathers, Dad's, WE NEED YOU!!! Why??? Check out this video!
It's time for the JTC Follow-Up
There are a few things we strive to accomplish on our follow-ups after a King has been released from prison...
We celebrate his release! After a King has finished his time behind bars, it is time to celebrate. He has made it to his next season in life!
It is a time for face-to-face conversation and reflection. This is so powerful because many thoughts and insights are shared. It gets good as the Lord is in the midst of the conversation. This is usually done over a good meal!
The last part is the Video Session. This is when the Kings get the opportunity to share their heart on camera about the impact JTC has had on their lives. Through our church services, letter ministry and follow-ups, it is always amazing to hear the things that are shared from the heart. It also allows us as well as you, our JTC supporters to see the impact of your financial contributions.
